What is Functional Medicine?

“The Functional Medicine” –which is an individualized, client- centered, science-based approach enabling the client and the practitioner to work together to address the underlying causes of the health concern and promote optimal wellness.

The Functional medicine approach helps address root cause, rather than symptoms, identifying the complexity of the disease on the basis of the imbalances in the body. Functional medicine recognizes that one condition has many different causes and likewise one cause may result in many different conditions. As a result, Functional Medicine approach targets the specific manifestations of disease in each individual on the basis of clinical imbalances in the biological system such as hormonal and neurotransmitter imbalances, defense and repair, digestive, absorptive and microbiological, structural, mind-body/body-mind imbalances.

“Nature is the healer of all disease. Let food be your medicine”- Hippocrates.
